To Configure the Equipment List Data to Merge with the Equipment CAD Data

This section describes how to process the Equipment List as Components and update CAD Equipment with information.

To Update the EquipmentList Mapping File in eB

  1. In eB Director, go to the SystemAdmin pane [F8] and check out the EquipmentList.xml mapping file from the Bulk Import of Excel Spreadsheets template.
  2. Go to the eBCheckout location on your desktop and replace the EquipmentList.xml with the one from the …\CSST\ExcelMappingFiles\Tags\EquipmentList.xml and then check in the changes.

To Add EquipmentList.xlsx

  1. Back in your project in ConstructSim Work Package Server, go to the Project info panel > Project data and select the Bulk upload tab.
  2. Click the Upload button.
  3. Browse to and select the …\ProjectData\Equipment\EquipmentList_<ProjectName>.xls file.
  4. After upload, set the List Type property to Equipment and the Mapping property to EquipmentList.xml.
  5. Turn on the EquipmentList_<ProjectName>.xls check box and select Start Import.

To Configure End-To-End Data Run Workflow to Merge EquipmentList.xlsx with CAD Data

  1. With ConstructSim Executive, open the project workflow (.vem).
  2. Expand the End-To-End Data Run > Phase 2 – Populate New VCM with Latest Engineering Data > Engineering Lists > Generate Engineering Components and Synchronize node.
  3. Make a copy of the Generate Components from Lists Managed Command at the same level.
  4. Disable the original one if it is not already disabled.
  5. Right-click the Managed Command and select Properties. In the Workflow Properties dialog, rename the Managed Command to include Equipment and set the DISCIPLINESLIST value to Equipment.
